ONE STEP FURTHER

La Malvasía de Sitges represents a step further in the commitment of Propietat d’Espiells with its VIVER d’ESPIELLS 2021 project.

There are more than 300 different varieties of Malvasia, and the one from Sitges, native to the Penedès, is a variety that, despite the difficulties that its cultivation presents, has been progressively reborn for two decades.

At Propietat d’Espiells we began acquiring this variety years ago to discover its potential and its evolution, until we decided to plant our own vineyards.

Today it is a reality.

Its aromas, its excellent acidity and its ability to age give it a strong candidate position to form part of the Propietat d’Espiells portfolio.

The result is a very expressive wine on an aromatic level, pale yellow with green reflections, with floral and fresh fruit notes. In the mouth, its acidity is present and gives it considerable freshness, while aging with the mothers in barrels gives it a velvety mouthfeel, which will increase with aging in the bottle.
